- Chrona saves time and money. Savings begin by requiring only a software-in-the-loop simulation. Savings multiply because Chrona take less time and is more accurate that competing solutions, reducing costly retesting
- Chrona simulations factor in both preemption and actual computation time. State-of-the-art software-in-the-loop simulation tools are often inadequate for a solid validation and testing of embedded software. This is because they fail to take in to account the impact of preemption and the time it takes for the machine to conduct its computations.
- Stop and Restart instantly. Chrona simulations can be stopped instantly without adverse results. Hardware-in-the-loop simulations do not allow stopping and resuming execution at arbitrary break points.
- Chrona is optimally granular. Instruction-level simulators are too fine-grained. It typically takes far too long to simulate the relevant behavior of embedded software. And with Instruction-level simulators, the developer has a hard time finding bugs amongst the vast amount of details. Chrona provides the right balance between detail level and speed of simulation.
